HAPPY EASTER...
I love these little chocolate praline eggs which I found in Haighs (the best Australian chocolate maker by some margin). They match the specklediness of our kitchen bench. I prefer them to the brown chocolate eggs, I don't know why. And I think they look quite becoming in my favourite green dish (etruscan glass) which was purchased on a long ago trip to San Gimignano.
I hope you all have a fabulous Easter.
I for one will be trying to recover from my throat \ chest infection, watching the leaves turn orange (although hopefully not all at once, that would be a bad sign), eating roast lamb, green beans and garlicky rosemary potatoes and spending time with my beautiful children and divine husband.
And maybe a glass or two of medicinal pinot noir. And not forgetting some medicinal dark chocolate. And some medicinal laughter.

Medicinal good wishes to you, Jane! I hope you have a good rest and that your beautiful children will leave you some of these eggs.
We are having roast lamb, minted peas and all the yummy trimmings too. Can't wait!
Sending you a cyber "cheers" for a very Happy Easter!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
Sounds just what the doctor ordered Jane - and I love your photo. It's beautiful. Happy Easter xx
Lovely image Jane. Speckled eggs should ease the chest infection, surely? Rest up and enjoy a lovely Easter.xx
Dear Jane
I hope you get a good rest over easter and feel your happy chirpy self again.. I'm pretty sure the medical profession advises chocolate as a cure...
well not working in city at present so didn't make it to either Haigh or Lindt.... might have to duck out today...
Happy Easter to you and your family.... xxx Julile
I love that bowl...when I was in San Gimignano I certainly saw nothing so beautiful! Hope you feel better, I hear pinot does wonders for the chest.
I'm so drinking wine and eating chocolate at the moment. Love having someone else appreciate the medicinal elements associated with these two things.
Happy EAster...love your gardenia flower too, I have a few of them at home.
Hmm, the medicine in your house sounds infinitely more inviting than the medicine in mine. I wouldn't mind a wee chest infection if that was the treatment. Bring it on!
Love, love, love the glass dish from San Gimignano and the oh so elegant speckled eggs. Happy Easter to you and your lovely ones. Meredy xo.
Hmmm, speckled eggs and pinot noir ...You'll be on your feet in no time. RIght - you've just reminded me to get the lamb out of the freezer!!! And to go and buy easter eggs (if there are any left now :-(. Have a wonderful medicinal easter - I shall raise my glass of pinot noir to you (notice how it's only the lamb I forget!
those eggs are beautiful-most perfect for the bowl. do rest and restore over the Easter holiday. pgt
Dear Jane,
Hope you have a good rest and get looked after this Easter weekend. I have bought a chicken that was freerange, fed on caviar(haha) and given spa treatments, for the amount it cost. It might not have had ALL of those things but, it is a special one as it cost an arm and a leg.We will have that on Sunday. We are having fish tonight. That was a fluke, even though on Good Friday you are supposed to have fish.
Your glass bowl is beautiful and the speckled eggs are very classy.
Eat loads of them, enjoy your time with your lovely family and get well soon. XXXX
Love those eggs....your image is amazing and I love your blog...just found it. Happy Easter. xoxo
Jane take much care of yourself. I know any M.D. here would prescribe all the same remedies. Pinot is on our menu too. Happy times this Easter to you & your whole family. xx
Hope you're feeling better! Happy Easter Jane.
Happy Easter Dear Jane
Well I think I have got that chest infection too now.. the weather has definitely taken a turn up here.. cold and damp.... enjoy the rest of your break.. and lots of chocolate ... xxx Julie
Happy Easter Jane. Isn't San Gimigniano great! Also went, a few years ago. x
Hope you sent the dreaded lurgie packing over Easter Jane. Son #5's sweet little girlfriend works in Finance @ Haighs HO. To ask her not to bring their dark choccie eggs to lunch on Sunday because of MOTH's strict diet was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do! Yes, they are THE BEST!!
Millie ^_^
